Last spring, the words most commonly associated with Matt Wieters (C, BAL) were "disappointment" and "overrated." All Wieters did was answer his critics by putting together a stellar second half and he's come charging out of the gate in 2012 as well. Is it time to call him a star?

Expectations were high for Jose Tabata (OF, PIT) in 2010 and the highly touted rookie didn't disappoint, hitting .299 with 19 steals in 405 ABs. A string of injuries stifled his production in 2011. But Tabata is healthy again, and fanalytic owners are looking to the 23-year-old to regain his form.

In spring training, it looked like Nolan Reimold (OF, BAL) would be platooned with Endy Chavez (OF, BAL). While neck spasms have cost him a few games, a hot start has allowed Reimold to stay in the leadoff spot and see most of the playing time in left field.

After Coco Crisp (OF, OAK) spent over 200 days on the DL in 2009-10, expectations weren’t too high going into 2011. But he stayed healthy all year and posted some strong numbers. If he can stay on the field, Crisp is a good bet to deliver a repeat performance.

He started this season off on the right note by silencing the Marlins in the debut of their new ballpark. For all the recent success, Lohse's pitching history is littered with injury and inconsistency.

It’s been an exciting week for Ubaldo Jimenez (RHP, CLE). First, the dust-up with his former Colorado teammates; then, he took a no-hitter into the seventh inning on Saturday. While he needs to serve a five-day suspension, it won’t have much effect due to days off in the early schedule.

The question about Daniel Hudson (RHP, ARI) heading into 2011 was how he would hold up over a full season in the desert after an impressive performance following his deadline deal to Arizona in July 2010. As a key component to the Diamondbacks surprise NL West championship run, the answer was "Just fine, thanks."
