FANALYTICS: 2012 Draft Radar - Batters

The very first Draft Radar column appeared in the old Baseball Forecaster newsletter exactly 20 years ago this month. At the time of its incarnation, it was just me, attempting to identify so-called "sleepers" and "gambles." These days, there are at least a half dozen columnists at BaseballHQ.com who conduct the same research for the more appropriately-named "undervalued" and "overvalued" players. In addition to that, there are countless forum threads where you have been picking the player pool clean.

As such, the players on these lists are rarely surprises any more. So I am not going to rehash many of the obvious names, at least not in any detail. This is going to be more of a free form expedition, sharing my thoughts and opinions...

Almost!
