FANALYTICS: Rotisserie 500 Rev. B

Two years ago, we introduced a new game format called Rotisserie 500 (Roto500).

The basic concept:

Roto500 uses a single currency for valuing, purchasing and selling of players. Each team is allotted a flat $500 budget that they use for player acquisition at the draft, reserve list and in-season free agents. How those dollars are allocated is up to each individual owner.

Roto500's draft uses a hybrid snake, auction and salary cap method of roster-stocking. Each player is assigned a list price (based on the past two seasons of performance) and teams fill their roster using a snake draft, with list prices counting against the $500 cap. Owners have the option to start an "auction call" for a limited number of players that they are...
