NEWS: Baltimore selected the contract of OF Colton Cowser from AAA-Norfolk and optioned OF Ryan McKenna to AAA-Norfolk.

BHQ SPIN: Baltimore added another top prospect to its lineup after selecting the contract of Cowser following a strong performance in AAA this year (.330/.459/.537). Cowser started in left field in his debut on Wednesday in place of Austin Hays, who is currently day-to-day with a bruised hip. Hays is expected to return within the next couple of days, creating a logjam in Baltimore’s outfield. Given Cowser’s standing as a prospect (read more specifics on his skills in today’s Callups column), it would be a surprise if the team would not give him regular run following...
