WATCHLIST: Three Nationals poised to contribute

The WatchList column is a quick-hit, twice-a-week look at those minor-league players that due to an organizational opening or continued improvement are on the verge of a callup. Many of the players covered in WatchList will not be top-level prospects, but instead players that could hold some short-term fanalytic value in the right situation.

While Duke has fallen off since his impressive rookie season back in 2005, he still has what it takes to contribute to the back end of a starting rotation. Stephen Strasburg could be shut down in as little as another 30 IP, and the Nationals will want to rest their rotation to prepare for their playoff push.
