ROTISSERIE: $1,000 FAAB vs $100

Recently, BaseballHQ.com publisher Ron Shandler sent a note to a few BHQ analysts about a curiosity he’d noticed.

After four or five seasons and 15-20 leagues, Ron had informally observed differences in bidding levels between leagues with $100 FAAB budgets (Tout Wars, LABR) and leagues with $1,000 FAAB budgets (FSTA, NFBC).

You’d expect that bids would be relatively equal, with bids in the $1,000 leagues more or less 10x the bids in the $100 leagues. If there was any departure, you'd think bids would run higher in the $1,000 leagues, given the seemingly ample extra resources available to bidders.

But the opposite was true. Bids were relatively higher in the $100 leagues!
