ROTISSERIE: Got To Begin Again

Let's start with some stats!

Pitcher      IP     ERA   WHIP   SO   W
=========   ====   ====   ====   ==   =
Pitcher A   73.3   2.21   1.05   58   4
Pitcher B   67.7   2.26   1.17   69   2

Here are the stats of two relievers from 2012. You'd be hard-pressed to choose the more valuable guy based on these stats. One had a slightly lower ERA and WHIP and a couple more wins, while the other had more strikeouts. Based on these numbers alone, you'd expect maybe a dollar or two difference between them, with Pitcher A coming out slightly ahead.

The two pitchers are Mitchell Boggs (RHP, STL) and Rafael Soriano (RHP, WAS), in that order. Contrary to what the above stats suggest, Soriano had $10 more value in mixed leagues and $17 more...

Almost!
