ROTISSERIE: Midseason triage for hitters

We’re halfway through the 2022 season. The standings can tell us a lot more than you might think about the kinds of actions we should take today in order to secure fantasy victory on October 5. Although this column includes advice pertinent to most fantasy formats, the focus will be on 5x5 rotisserie. Other fantasy games lend themselves to different forms of roster triage.

The first step is rather obvious: Examine the standings and perform an honest self-assessment. Where are you weak and strong? Where are you lucky and unlucky? What’s about to break? What will fix itself?

Of course, that’s easier said than done. Are you lagging in a category because a couple key draft picks like Marcus Semien, Ketel Marte, and Joey Votto flopped? They...
