ROTISSERIE: Selecting keepers—A case study

Who should stay and who should go—that is the question for keeper-league owners. How should they be chosen? And what criteria needs to be considered?
At BaseballHQ.com, we see questions of this type with great frequency in the forums, but it's difficult to give detailed answers in that format. This case study provides a toolkit of eight questions to ask when making keeper decisions.
We will assume a 12-team mixed, 5x5 league with the usual 23-man roster and a $260 budget. There will also be 17 rounds of supplemental picks to round out a 40-man roster. And we'll follow the keeper rules as described by Patrick DiCaprio in a previous article:
