ROTISSERIE: Why ADP is useless

Let’s say you want to buy a gallon of milk. All you know about the price is that at Grocery A it is $2.50 and at Grocery B it is $4.75. You know that these are the highest and lowest known prices, though it is possible that milk will be cheaper or more expensive at stores that were not tracked. On your way to the local grocer, you do not know what the price will be or how many others are also on their way to that store to buy milk.

How much do you expect to pay? Are you sure you will be able to get a gallon of milk? 

In addition, you have heard rumors that grocers are selling milk in gallon bottles that are only half-filled. And you can only go to your local grocer; you cannot shop around.
