DAILY MATCHUPS: Cobb faces Dodgers on a busy Wednesday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: The first Wednesday of September offers up a full slate, one overflowing with 17 games. The Twins and Yankees will play a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium, and the Mets and Pirates will play two at PNC Park. Seven day games are on the schedule. Weather-wise, Wednesday sets up to be a cooler one – perhaps with stray lingering showers (but nothing nixing ballgames) – in the Midwest and a hot one on the West Coast.
