DAILY MATCHUPS: The Cole Train rides on tonight

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have a full 15 games on tap, with the first games starting at 6:40 p.m. There is only one real threat of rain in Washington, so hopefully, it is smooth sailing the rest of the way. Coors Field and Great American Small Park are in play, so we should see plenty of offense.

Notable Starts:

Gerrit Cole again comes in as the highest-rated pitcher with a 3.5 overall rating. He is coming off his worst start in a long time, where he allowed four runs over six innings versus the Orioles. However, Cole still struck out six and has now struck out six or more in eight straight starts. Strikeouts should be aplenty tonight versus a depleted Royals lineup that is striking out 21.5% of the time versus RHP.
