DAILY MATCHUPS: Kirby kicks off season against Angels

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There is a full slate of 15 games on the schedule today, with two afternoon games and the rest in the evening. Rain will not be an issue for any games on Monday, however cold temperatures will be around for a number of games.

 

Notable Starts:

George Kirby made four starts (one PQS-DOM) against the Angels last season where he owned a 3.05 xERA in 24 IP. Last season he put up some significant reverse splits as LHB had a poor .553 OPS versus him while RHB had a .846 OPS. In 2022 he made 14 starts on more than four days rest and he excelled going 7-1 with a 1.50 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 78 IP.
