It will not be easy for Shane McClanahan to outperform his strong matchup rating today, since Baltimore has come out of the break swinging against lefties. Their .536 SLG against LHP is tops in MLB over the first week of the second half of the season, plus they are Top-10 in OPS, ISO, wOBA, and wRC+ versus southpaws over the same span. McClanahan has allowed a home run in six of his last seven starts.
