DAILY MATCHUPS: Springs leads the way on Monday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There are just nine games on this light Monday slate. First pitch will come at 2:10 p.m. ET, when the Royals host the White Sox. Rain could have an impact on the ATL@PIT, NYM@NYY, and CIN@PHI games.

Jeffrey Springs will be taking on the Angels for a second time this season. He tossed a PQS-2 against them back in May. They don't hit left-handed pitchers well with only a .642 OPS. At home he has been excellent with a 2.27 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 36 IP. His skills are comparable to a lot of top notch starters (3.43 xERA, 9.6 Dom, 5.0 Cmd, 141 BPV).
