DAILY MATCHUPS: Starters at risk

As a way to preview the day's games, the 2014 Daily Matchups column seeks to highlight the outliers or notable matchups on the HQ Pitcher Matchup tool (also available as an 8-day scan). For more information on how to leverage the report, see our research article from 2012.

Today's schedule overview:  All 30 teams are in action today, with two day games. The only interleague contest has the Cubs traveling to Toronto. It's a bit of a high risk day for starters.  In the AL, only one starter has a grade above 2.00. The NL is better, with six grades above 2.00, but as the analysis indicates, a couple of these pitchers carry significant risk.
