RESEARCH: A Hitter Matchup Tool?

In my humble opinion, the most valuable in-season offering at BaseballHQ.com is the HQ Pitcher Matchup Tool. It's been a staple when planning my weekly lineups for years, and for those of you new to the site, it's the engine that powers our Daily Matchups and Double Dippin' columns. The tool was wildly successful in 2018; its first year after a complete teardown and rebuild of the logic (more on that from Arik Florimonte can be found here).

But can we stretch the usefulness of the Matchup Tool even further? How about using it to make weekly lineup decisions and FAAB moves for hitters? Its utility for DFS/daily leagues is pretty straightforward—check that day's Daily Matchups column or use the Daily Dashboard—but since so many of us play in...
