Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: There are only seven games on this Monday slate. First pitch comes at 6:40pm ET with the Marlins hosting the Phillies. Light rain is possible in the COL@WAS and BAL@TAM games, however it should not be enough to put those games in jeopardy.

Clarke Schmidt has been stepping up lately as three of his last five starts have resulted in a PQS-DOM, one of which was a PQS-4 against these same Angels where he went six shutout innings. The Angels are a free swinging team, evidenced by them striking out 9.7 times per game. Looking back across Schmidt's last seven starts, he has been strong with a 2.90 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and 42 K in 40 IP.
