Schwellenbach to go fishing on Friday

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: We have 15 games on tap, starting with a Wrigley matinee between the Cardinals and Cubs. There are scattered showers throughout the Midwest and East Coast, so hopefully, we will avoid a Friday postponement. Without a lot of aces throwing today, we have at least four games with nine or higher run totals. 

 

Notable Starts:

Spencer Schwellenbach is coming off a great start versus the Mets, where he threw seven shutout innings while striking out 11. He’s been getting better as the season has gone on, and in July, Schwellenbach has thrown 26 innings over four starts with six earned runs and 28 strikeouts. He faces a Marlins team today who is striking out 25.2% of the time versus RHP over the past month...
