NEWS: Houston placed OF Daulton Varsho in the 10-day IL with left wrist inflammation and selected the contract of OF Jorge Barrosa.

BHQ SPIN: Varsho last played on September 19, and the wrist has reportedly been bothering him for a large portion of this season. The IL stint takes him out of a potential Wild Card round of the playoffs, and he is scheduled to visit a specialist on September 28. Surgery could even be on the table. The team activated Barrosa in his place for the final weekend series.
