Tyler Tolbert's recent record-tying feat of 12 consecutive hits was like a magic trick that made one season disappear (.200/.275/.200 on July 1st) and a brand-new one appear in its place (.396/.434/.542 on July 7th). It got him a lot of attention and four straight starts in the Kansas City lineup, but after Vinnie Pasquantino returned from the IL for the last weekend series before the All-Star break, Tolbert retreated to the bench, and didn't get a single plate appearance. Has this hot streak changed anything about his outlook, and is there a path to more playing time for him on this roster?
