AL Central: Outlooks for 2027

Minnesota Twins

LINEUP: Minnesota's lineup could see some significant changes in 2027. Ryan Jeffers will be a free agent, and while the Twins would like to re-sign him, a 29-year-old catcher with a .270 BA and .872 OPS (even in an injury-shortened year) is going to draw plenty of competitive offers. If they can't keep him, Victor Caratini and Alex Jackson would likely split catching duties. Josh Bell has a $10M mutual option for 2027, and because he's been an above-average hitter and great clubhouse fit, there's a good chance the Twins will want him back, but he might see an opportunity to pursue one more multi-year contract on the open market. If so, the team has plenty of other bats who could fill the DH role.

That might eventually...
