In addition, the Pohlad family, which has owned the Twins since 1984, put the team up for sale only to withdraw after a year and instead take on minority owners to help finance some debt, after which Tom Pohlad took over control of the team from his brother Joe in a decision that Joe was reportedly "not on board with at first."
