AL Central: With Lane Thomas on the mend, is Nolan Jones on shaky ground?

Lane Thomas kicked off a rehab assignment on Tuesday, as he makes his way back from a bone bruise on his wrist. Assuming all goes well, he should be back in the majors at some point next week, missing just over a month of action when all is said and done.

Thomas was off to a real rough start before the injury, slashing just .156/.188/.178 with a 66% ct% through 48 PA. He may not necessarily walk back into a full-time role, as Angel Martínez has fared well in his absence.

Martinez has been getting the bulk of the starts in center field, and has registered a .295/.327/.400 line, 1 HR, and 4 SB in 102 PA. A 35% h% has boosted his numbers but he's likely to continue seeing some action in the outfield.
