AL Central: Mize nearing return

Casey Mize (RHP, DET) got up to 50 pitches and 3.1 IP in his most recent rehab start. He has now made three rehab appearances at Triple-A in which he has allowed a total of 1 ER in 9 IP with a 10/4 K/BB. 

Mize is scheduled to make another start on August 24 as he continues to work his way back from a hamstring strain that has kept him out since late June. Currently on the 60-day IL, Mize is eligible to return August 30, and that would line up well with his rehab schedule. Look for him to return on that date or shortly thereafter, with a chance of delivering some moderate late-season value.
