Since Wilyer Abreu was activated from the IL on June 22, Boston has essentially been rotating two spots between three players in its lineup against right-handed starters, with one of David Hamilton (five starts in seven games), Enmanuel Valdez (five starts in seven games), or Tyler O'Neill (four starts in seven games) sitting on the bench while the other two start. For now, it appears Boston will prioritize giving all three players some playing time, though struggles by Hamilton or Valdez could open the door for a change in course.
