AL West: Potential power boost in Seattle

To start the season, the Mariners have proven that they will have a platoon in RF and DH. Versus LHP, Rob Refsnyder and Victor Robles will play, while Dominic Canzone and Luke Raley will play versus RHP. These platoon situations make sense for the current Mariners roster, but the Mariners could shake things up if the RHB struggle. 

Refsnyder has been known to hit LHP well throughout his career, but over his first 14 plate appearances this season, he’s hitless. He’s walking 14.3% of the time while striking out 21.4% to go with a 22.2% hard-hit rate. He’s 35 years old, and the current struggles may be a sign that Refsnyder’s time is slowly coming to an end.
