AL Central: Twins to get key pieces back soon

Minnesota Twins

The team is in the middle of a highly-contested Wild Card race and are still within striking distance in the division. The bats have cooled a bit lately, with just 34 runs scored over the team's last 10 games.

Minnesota is about to receive a boost, however, as a couple of lineup regulars are on the mend. Royce Lewis (3B, MIN) kicked off a rehab assignment on Tuesday and should be back at some point this weekend. He is a force when healthy but continues to have a difficult time staying on the field.

Jose Miranda (1B, MIN) is also on a rehab assignment and nearing a return to action. He was on a heater prior to landing on the IL, and even in a crowded 1B/3B/OF/DH mix, he's likely to be back in the lineup on a regular basis.
