DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: AL East—Mookie, we hardly knew ye

The return of Shane Victorino (OF, BOS) ended the first stint in the major leagues for Mookie Betts (OF, BOS), but it is not hard to envision Betts returning to the majors before too long. The fact that no team has been able to pull away from the pack in the AL East has kept the Red Sox from waving the white flag, but barring an early second-half win streak, Boston will have to figure out who fits where in its 2015 plans.

One thing that should happen is that a player or two who likely does not figure into those 2015 plans in the outfield or on the left side of the infield need to be moved along to free up at-bats for those who may. Players who fit into that category include Jonny Gomes (OF, BOS), Mike Carp (1B/OF, BOS)...
