DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: AL West—LAA pen in flux

The news out of the bullpen continues to be mostly bad. After showing real promise in his first 13 IP—19/1 K/BB, one run and a save—Robert Coello (RHP, LAA) suddenly coughed up 6 runs in 1.2 IP and landed on the DL with both shoulder inflammation and elbow pain. Per a visit to Dr. James Andrews, Sean Burnett (LHP, LAA) will avoid surgery, but his elbow inflammation will require rest and keep him sidelined for another month. Burnett's discomfort has limited him to 10 IP (0.93/3.58 ERA/xERA combo), nine of which came back in April.
