DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: NL West—Ramirez nears return, Kemp to DL

Hanley Ramírez (SS, LA), out since May 3 with a strained hamstring, is closing in on a return to action. His replacement, Dee Gordon (SS, LA), didn't fare so well when given the chance. Had he succeeded, there's a chance Ramirez would have returned to third base. But as it stands now, he will handle things at shortstop while Gordon is playing for Triple-A Albuquerque once again. Nick Punto (SS, LA) has fared well recently, which will help keep him in the lineup most nights in the short-term. He will continue to see action at second and third base, but once his 41% hit rate drops, his playing time probably will as well.
