It's a bad sign when you cover a division and no one team jumps out as the headliner after the trade deadline, but maybe that's just how the NL Central rolls. The Brewers had the best record in the Senior Circuit heading into play Friday and an underwhelming trade deadline.

Maybe they didn't need to do all that much with Brandon Woodruff looking like his old self and Jacob Misiorowski looking like the second coming of another guy named Jacob with the last name deGrom. Besides, they'd already added a revitalized Andrew Vaughn, who is looking like one of the best midseason acquisitions in years.
