NL West: Does Ramos still have a lineup spot?

Heliot Ramos began his rehabilitation assignment at AAA Sacramento last week and is scheduled to return to the Giants on Friday, June 26th (this article was written before game time on 6/26). His short time back on the diamond (five total games) has been reasonably successful: He has gone 6 of 19 (.316 BA) with 1 HR, 5 R, 1 RBI, and a 14% BB% (but with a 32% K%). Obviously, the important thing for Ramos to show during his rehab stint was that he’s healthy, which he appears to be.

No doubt the Giants need reinforcements as their season continues to circle the drain, but they also have a crowded group of players competing for at-bats in the positions that Ramos is most likely to play. In the seven games the Giants...
