Answer: Still somewhat undetermined as Sung-Mun Song’s injury gives San Diego a bit longer to try out options, but Gavin Sheets is the mainstay
Sheets performed at a high level during the spring, and his new manager Craig Stammen appears to have noticed. Sheets, with 4 HR and .605 SLG, looks to be swinging the bat well, and the lefty was rewarded with the Opening Day start against LHP Tarik Skubal.
