NL West: Is Eldridge the next big callup?

The Giants top prospect, left-handed hitting 1B Bryce Eldridge, could be one of the next top prospects to make their major league debut this season. The twenty-year-old Eldridge was promoted to Triple-A Sacramento from Double-A Richmond on June 3. After missing the start of the season due to a left wrist injury, Eldridge has hit very well at Richmond (.280/.350/.512 with 7 HR over 140 PA) and given the Giants struggles at 1B, he could be an option at 1B later this season if he performs well in Sacramento.

The Giants are just three games behind the Dodgers in the NL West and tied for the third NL wildcard spot, but have gotten terrible production from the 1B position. Left-handed hitting 1B LaMonte Wade was designated...
