PT TOMORROW: AL Central - Isbel nearing return to outfield mix

Kyle Isbel (OF, KC) has been out since early May due to a hamstring strain but is now nearing a return to action. He is on a rehab assignment at AAA-Omaha and has been hitting well, going 5-for-16 with a homer and a 3/3 K/BB through five games. Isbel didn't fare nearly as well with Kansas City earlier in the season, as he hit just .209/.250/.352 across 96 PA while serving as the primary center fielder. With a .633 OPS in 433 career trips to the plate, the jury is still out on whether he can hit enough to be a major league regular, but he'll get another shot to prove himself upon activation in the coming days.
