Cleveland’s outfield carousel has been covered plenty in this space through the year, and the ride keeps on spinning into August, as the Guardians are still trying to stabilize the spot alongside mainstays Steven Kwan (LF, CLE) and Myles Straw (CF, CLE).

Oscar Gonzalez (DH, CLE) has gotten the last four starts in RF, and five of the last six. Prior to his injury he had stabilized that corner a bit, and upon his return, he’s gone 7-for-20 with a homer. His performance and his lineup placement (4th, 5th or 6th in every game back) show that Mgr Terry Francona is comfortable starting him regularly.
