The winter signings of Javier Báez (SS, DET) and Eduardo Rodriguez (LHP, DET) signaled the Tigers would be ready to be buyers at the 2022 trade deadline, but the season hasn't gone as expected. Detroit will likely be sellers (again) this season, and they're holding a few valuable trade chips.

The bullpen is the likeliest position group to be raided. Michael Fulmer (RHP, DET) is in the final year of his contract and has had a terrific 2022 campaign thus far, pitching to a 2.10/1.00 line of ratios (ERA/WHIP). He's been especially effective against RHBs due to a nasty slider,  as he's got a 19% K-BB% and a H% of only 14%. Gregory Soto (LHP, DET) is under club control through 2025, making him still valuable to Detroit, but...
