Joe Mauer began a rehab assignment this week, nearly three weeks after a neck strain—and, more worrisome—a return of concussion symptoms like balance issues and light sensitivity sent him to the DL on May 19th. And as Mauer works his way back to the Twins lineup, Jorge Polanco (SS, MIN) won't be too far behind him. Polanco, who is serving an 80-game PED suspension, is eligible to return to the majors on July 2nd, and is likely to begin a tune-up stint in the minors this week. Adding both players to the roster could create some playing time issues the Twins have not had to deal with so far in 2018.
