Manager Ron Gardenhire has said that he wants to give new outfielder Jordan Schafer (OF, MIN) regular playing time. The Twins love Schafer’s speed and by using him in center field they can move Danny Santana (SS/OF, MIN) back to his natural SS position. Schafer is 6-for-6 in steal attempts since joining the Twins two weeks ago. With his career 81% success rate he will be given the green light. He could deliver 15+ steals from now to the end of the season; he has a combined 21 SB in 112 AB so far this year. With 40 games to play Schafer could get well over 100 more AB, and the steals are likely to follow.
