PT TOMORROW: AL Central—Almonte's preseason error opens a door

One of the penalties imposed as part of Abraham Almonte's (OF, CLE; pictured above) suspension is that he's ineligible for the postseason. Michael Brantley (OF, CLE) is no longer an option, and while Brandon Guyer (OF, CLE) has been white-hot since he was acquired by CLE August 1 (.414 BA in 34 AB), he's a career .237 BA hitter against RHP (460 AB). The Indians may need to get another OF prepared for the playoffs once Triple-A Columbus' playoff run ends.

Joey Butler's (OF, CLE) early 2016 performance was poor enough that the Tribe felt safe exposing him to waivers and removing him from the 40-man roster. He put up a .197 AB (198 AB) between May and June. Butler has rebounded in July and August with a .264 BA in 128 AB...
