Michael Brantley (OF, CLE) is the Cleveland's only sure-thing 2016 Opening Day starter in the OF. The other two slots are wide open, and could go to Lonnie Chisenhall (3B/OF, CLE), Tyler Holt (OF, CLE), Jerry Sands (OF, CLE), Abraham Almonte (OF, CLE), Ryan Raburn (DH/OF, CLE), James Ramsey (OF, CLE), or Tyler Naquin (OF, CLE). Almonte is the front-runner for the CF job, but he doesn’t have a high upside. He has hit .253 with 4 HR in 166 AB. Chisenhall has provided top-flight defense in his move to RF, but would probably be in a platoon with Raburn or Sands because of his challenges against left-handed pitching.
