PT TOMORROW: AL Central—Santana searching for middle ground

While Eduardo Escobar (SS, MIN) is out with a strained groin, Eduardo Núñez (3B/SS/2B, MIN) is currently holding down the fort. Fortunately for the Twins, the team has pretty good depth at this position.

Danny Santana (OF/2B, MIN; pictured above) is currently needed in CF while Byron Buxton (OF, MIN) gets his stroke back. Since Santana returned from the 15-day DL April 25, he's displayed a mixed bag of stats in 49 AB. The good have been the one HR and five SB, as well as the green light he's getting on the basepaths (71% SBO% in very early returns). The relatively good are a .265 BA on a 31% h% and 75 ct% (.215 BA, 29% h%, 74% ct% in 261 AB in 2015). The not-so-good are the two BB and three CS.
