Carlos Rodón (RHP, CHW) has already matched his innings pitched in 2014 and may be skipped once or twice before the end of the year. Jeff Samardzija (RHP, CHW) has faded badly with four or more ER in seven of his last 10 starts, and John Danks (LHP, CHW) has been wildly unpredictable all year. It may be time to give September call-up Erik Johnson (RHP, CHW; pictured above) another shot.  Since the All Star break, Johnson had a 1.65 ERA in seven starts at Triple-A Charlotte with a 7.6 Dom (12% SwK%), 2.9 Ctl and 7.2 H/9 in 43.2 IP. His 0.52 GB / FB ratio during the run may not play well at US Cellular, though.
