The Twins sacrificed Kennys Vargas' (DH, MIN) roster spot to aid a tired bullpen, then four relievers promptly surrendered 14 ER in 2 IP on May 29, further taxing the pen. In the May 11 PT Tomorrow, we looked at Triple-A Rochester's Trevor Hildenberger (RHP, MIN), who now has a 2.11 ERA, 24 K and 6 BB in 21.1 IP. Given the current burn rate, we'll analyze a few more.

Double-A Chattanooga's primary closer is John Curtiss (RHP, MIN); he's allowed one unearned run in 16 games as of May 30. The converted starter has rung up 25 batters (15% SwK%) against 10 walks in 17.2 IP. Although his 44% GB% isn't eye-opening, 17% of balls in play going for popups is.
