The days leading up to the trade deadline were interesting for Cleveland, as they attempted to thread the needle between rebuild and reload and competing now, all while keeping their eye on the AL Central crown. They traded away workhorse starter Trevor Bauer (RHP, CIN) in a three-team deal with Cincinnati and San Diego that saw Yasiel Puig (OF, CLE) and Franmil Reyes (OF, CLE), among others, arrive to shore up the outfield and designated hitter slot and add some much-needed power to the middle of its lineup.
