PT TOMORROW: AL Central—Zimmer on simmer

Cleveland Indians

Outfielder Austin Jackson (OF, CLE) just hit the DL, but he was replaced by a pitcher as several other Indians could sub if needed. If the Tribe does decide to call up an outfielder, they have several options.

It's been a struggle for Bradley Zimmer (OF, CLE; pictured above) as he moves up the organization's ladder, as prior to 2017 he finished with a .241 BA (527 AB through 2015 and 2016) at Double-A Akron and a .242 BA (128 AB) at Triple-A Columbus. We noted in the March 23 PT Tomorrow that Zimmer had 26 K in 74 AB in the Arizona Fall League, but we should've also wrote that he drew 19 walks as a potential positive sign. Unfortunately, he's begun 2017 with a disappointing 6 BB against 29 K in 97 PA for the Clippers....
