Adam Duvall (OF, BOS) has set a target date for his return from the 60-day IL, and it is the first day he is eligible: June 9.

As of last week, Duvall had progressed to hitting off a tee and engaging in soft toss as he works his way back from a distal radius fracture in his left wrist, which brought to a screeching halt Duvall’s white-hot start (15-for-33, 4 HR 14 RBI in just eight games).

A funny thing has happened in Duvall’s absence: Jarren Duran (OF, BOS) has risen up to claim the center field job that Duvall had been signed to fill.

Duran’s hit rate is a bit elevated (43%), but given his speed that may not entirely be a fluke. Otherwise, his .285 xBA and increased line drive rate indicates that he is holding his...
