Change is in the air in Boston, where pitching coach Juan Nieves has been fired and two members of the Opening Day bullpen, Edward Mujica (RHP, OAK) and Anthony Varvaro (RHP, CHC), have found new homes after being designated for assignment.

While the starting rotation has continued to be inconsistent, a bigger issue of late has been a stagnant offense. While the return of Hanley Ramírez (OF, BOS) will no doubt help, the team is getting little production from two positions—right field and first base—and change appears imminent at one of those positions.

As of Saturday night, indications were that, come Sunday, Allen Craig (1B/OF) would be replaced on the team’s active roster by Jackie Bradley Jr. (OF, BOS), who is off to...
