Suddenly, being a Yankees outfielder is akin to being a “Spinal Tap” drummer. To wit, blink and you might have missed the appearance on the roster of Ryan LaMarre (OF, NYY), who was felled not by "spontaneous human combustion" but by a hamstring strain in his third game for the Yankees May 19.
Lamarre thus joined Aaron Hicks (OF, NYY) and Giancarlo Stanton (DH, NYY) on the injured list, though the Yankees are expecting Stanton back when he is first eligible on May 25.
